  1. After doing some reading from internet, I think these information is useful for us to take note:-

Dr. Daniel Jernigan, deputy director of the influenza division at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said it appears that the new virus has about the same attack rate as seasonal flu.

"From a policy standpoint, we expect this to be spreading the same as we would see with seasonal influenza, but again, remember that a larger portion of the population may have absolutely no immunity or any protection for this one, which is different than what would happen through normal seasonal influenza," Jernigan added.

I will give more informations later regarding these issue...and if other members got information please share with us in this blog..ok..

  2. Here some more information regarding how the Influenza H1N1 sprreads.....It is thought that the main way influenza viruses are spread from person to person is through transmission of respiratory droplets during coughing and sneezing. Close contact (about 3 feet or less) usually is necessary for this type of spread. Influenza viruses also can spread by touching respiratory droplets on yourself, others, or an object, then touching mucus membranes, such as the mouth, nose, or eyes, without washing contaminated hands.

How do people become infected with the virus?

The virus is spread from person-to-person. It is transmitted as easily as the normal seasonal flu and can be passed to other people by exposure to infected droplets expelled by coughing or sneezing that can be inhaled, or that can contaminate hands or surfaces.

To prevent spread, people who are ill should cover their mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, stay home when they are unwell, clean their hands regularly, and keep some distance from healthy people, as much as possible.

There are no known instances of people getting infected by exposure to pigs or other animals.

The place of origin of the virus is unknown.

  4. More information regarding how the Influenza H1N1 sprreads...
H1N1 virus is thought to occur in the same way that seasonal flu spreads. Flu viruses are spread mainly from person to person through coughing or sneezing by people with influenza. Sometimes people may become infected by touching something – such as a surface or object – with flu viruses on it and then touching their mouth or nose.

    Hope it would help....

  5. To summaries how the H1N1 spreads, virus containing respiratory secretions in form of small-aerosal particles (< 10 um mass median diameter) and it's mainly coming from nasal drops. So, the spread out way is through:

    1. cough ( use your upper sleeve to cover neither your hand)
    2. sneeze ( please cover with tissue )
    3. talk ( limit yor distance )
    4. contact (watch out what we are touching)
